Room Beyond Imagery
This design installation aims to create an environment that immerses and interacts with the audience. It builds an extra layer based on reality by incorporating natural elements such as airflow and texture to bring additional information that creates the "Space". On the other end, human perception defines the space's ethos from sublime to uninhibited, from tranquil to chaotic, which is called the mise en scene of the space.
With all that, we can't help to think that if we try to deconstruct all the factors that affect the formation of the space and add new ingredients to that, what will be the new perception of the space? Through which approach can we make an extension to the space in our perception? Lighting effects enable us to create a virtual layer that adds to its physicality, but how can we build up a bridge between these two? In this installation, our challenge is to bring a material base to the virtual context to dissolve it into reality. It should blur the periphery of the original space and make the observer also the participant in defining a new one. This process is a reflective attempt to see how we can mirror the virtual space into reality and bring materiality to them. It would be a start to prove that the metaverse would not just be a white elephant but can be involved in the physical world and create social value.
